Awards and Recognition We Are Proud of

As featured in Alastair Sawday's Eat Slow Britain "Hearts soar when our inspectors find chalkboard menus promoting regional, seasonal produce: farm meats, village-baked bread, locally shot game and local brewery ale.

Eat Slow Britain, the latest title in Sawday's Slow series, recommends and celebrates some wonderful pubs, restaurants and organic producers. The restaurants are chosen for their owners' commitment to supporting local suppliers, sourcing food grown without chemicals and to creating a convivial space for diners to enjoy it."

We are proud to have been awarded the Heart of England Fine Foods, Diamond Award for Best Hospitality Provider. Stating that we have an "exciting contemporary 'local' menu". Along with a relaxed atmosphere in a very picturesque setting. They also congratulated us on our commitment to using the level on local produce that we do.

Another great achievement for the Mill Race is that we were the regional winners for the Morning Advertisers Great British Pub Awards 2015, in the 'Best Food Pub' category. In 2013, 2014 and 2015, we were also announced as the regional winner for the West Midlands and Wales 'Best Wine Pub' category.

We had great success at the Flavours of Herefordshire awards, in which we received the Gold award in the Gourmet Herefordshire Category. This award was open to any establishment that offers a high standard of cuisine, service and ambience. To win the Gold award in the Gourmet Herefordshire category the Mill Race showed excellence in the presentation and flavour of food, excellent customer satisfaction, cleanliness and proved that the staff are well trained and aware of their Herefordshire provenance. The Mill Race also prides itself on the fact its customers are made aware of where all their produce comes from and is committed to sourcing as much produce as possible from Herefordshire. Not only did the Mill Race come out top of the category judged on the whole establishment, they also took a silver award in the Simply Herefordshire category for  the 'Brisket and Rack of Bishopswood Lamb with Herefordshire Cassis Jelly and Pea Puree'.
