It’s important to us to buy locally wherever possible. It supports local business, reduces our impact on the environment and ensures that we serve the freshest food possible. We source a mixture of exceptional produce from some of the country’s best growers and artisan products from smallholdings, independent distilleries and agriculturists just a stone’s throw away.
We take a fundamental ‘farm to fork approach’. All of our suppliers are based within an hour of our pub. We use produce from our own farm, too, which is located just 2.6 miles away in Bishopswood.
We’re surrounded by the lush, rolling green pastures that are the hallmark of Herefordshire and its surrounding areas, so it’s not surprising that the quality of local ingredients is impeccable. However, without our farmers’ and suppliers’ dedication and diligence, we wouldn’t be able to bring this fresh, tasty produce to your plate. You can see them on our suppliers board next time you pop in – you might even see some faces you recognise in the pub!
